Launched on September 13, 2016 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC via Origin, the demo gives players the chance to sample the all-new “Journey” mode, playing as Alex Hunter of Manchester United. In the standard “Kickoff” mode, you can play with the following teams –
- Manchester United
- Manchester City
- Real Madrid
- Paris Saint-Germain
- Olympique Lyonnais
- Seattle Sounders
- Bayern München
- Tigres U.A.N.L. (MX)
- Gamba Osaka
Some of the stadiums that you can select are Stamford Bridge, CenturyLink and the Suita Football Stadium, home to Gamba Osaka.
The demo gives us a glimpse at the new gameplay engine, Frostbite. This is what makes FIFA17 revolutionary with authentic and advanced graphics. However, you should know that some of its features are only available on new generation consoles and PC.
About the game itself…while tackling is largely the same, the dead ball system has been changed, now a little more complicated than before. In-depth information like shots taken and touches of key players will be displayed in each game. Also, another feature included in this demo are commentary lines analyzing league table and cup standings, making the experience more realistic.
The game, as always, looks good and does not disappoint. The full version will be launched on September 27, 2016.
